AMC Theaters and Cinemark Theaters’ Q3 2025 earnings

AMC Theaters Q3 earnings. Plus, the change from last year:

  • ↓ 3.6%

• $298M net loss

  • Down from $20.7M loss in Q3 2024

• 58.3 M attendance

  • ↓ 10%

CEO Adam Aron stated:

“The third quarter industrywide softness should not be a cause for alarm nor a harbinger of some negative trend about which to worry… to the contrary, we expect the fourth quarter industrywide box office will turn out to be the highest grossing fourth quarter in six years”

He’s referring to Avatar 3 and Wicked 2. Up up and away!

Cinemark Theaters’ Q3 2025 revenue. Here are the gains and losses, compared with a year ago:​

  • ↓7%

• $51M profit

  • ↓73%

Attendance increased to 54M patrons, down 10% from last year.

This is a slightly better economics than AMC, bolstered by Warner Bros.’ strong slate of originals.
