She is best known for playing the scene-stealing jilted sweetheart Cindy Lou opposite Dorothy Dandridge and Harry Belafonte in the musical movie Carmen Jones (1954, trailer). With a career ranging from the Broadway stage in Sammy Davis Jr.’s Mr. Wonderful (1956) to a regular role on The Bill Cosby Show she was proficient in every avenue of the entertainment industry and will be very missed.
