A wicked reprisal. David Chokachi is returning for Fox’s Baywatch reboot series returning as the humorous heartthrob Cody Madison. In a recurring role, Madison will act as a mentor and friend to younger lifeguards, occasionally putting on the red trunks himself. Filming is slated to begin on Venice Beach this spring.
Timothy Olyphant’s heart of pure evil on Apple TV+’s Stick returns. Olyphant played Owen Wilson’s nemesis. He was slick and nasty, and he’s returning as a series regular on Season 2. Same with Wilson’s ex on the show, Judy Greer. Hurray!
Indie drama Vivien & The Florist, about famed actress Vivien Leigh (A Streetcar Named Desire), has wrapped filming. Carla Gugino (Sin City) plays the titular Gone with the Wind star, sharing the screen opposite Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket) as a Philadelphia florist who forms an unexpected connection with the actress.
Bones actress Emily Deschanel is reunited with her costar David Boreanaz in Fox’s new untitled drama series, twenty-one years after the crime procedural came to a close. The show centers on a visionary psychologist (Deschanel) who focuses on victims rather than perpetrators to solve some of the FBI’s most baffling cases.
CBS comedy Ghosts adds Emmy winner Jeff Hiller (Somebody Somewhere) to its cast. Most recently seen on Apple TV’s Pluribus, Hiller will play a server extraordinaire described as a little sensitive and intense, a guest spot well-suited to the actor’s signature off-kilter warmth. Ghosts returns Feb. 26th.
Spanish actor Enrique Arce (Netflix’s Money Heist) has found a new psychological drama to lead in Aguas Pasadas (Past Water). The eight-episode crime procedural series is a Portugal-Spain co-production.
Eighth Grade breakout actress Elsie Fisher joins indie horror NightFlirt. Now an adult, Fisher has continued embracing indie flicks, appearing alongside Rose Byrne in last year’s Tribeca title Tow (2025). The college-set stalker story, NightFlirt, will start filming sometime this spring.
