Comcast has appointed Jon Giselman, a former Apple, Expedia Group, and DIRECTV exec, for the new role of Chief Growth Officer. Giselman will lead the teams responsible for the company’s domestic residential businesses including cable, broadband, marketing, retention, and wireless sales reaching more than 64 M homes worldwide. He will start this position by the end of the month.
The indie production company behind the upcoming American Psycho remake, Pressman Film, has promoted its COO, Paula Paizes, to be responsible for all production. A seasoned media and entertainment executive, Paizes joined Pressman back in 2019 and will now oversee all areas of the company, including production, finance, distribution, merchandising, and business affairs. Paizes and Pressman Film are currently in post-production on Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire led by Al Pacino and Colman Domingo.
Sony Pictures Entertainment has brought on Jay Levine to take on the role of EVP, Chief Strategy Officer, and Business Operations, a position he previously held for WarnerMedia’s Studio. Levine will oversee strategic growth initiatives, corporate development, investments, mergers, and acquisitions. Following a decade at WB, Levine most recently acted as CEO of Kevin Hart’s media company, Hartbeat, for over a year.
