The list of guest stars on Showtime’s original followup series Dexter: Resurrection is growing longer. Next up is David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil), who joins Krysten Ritter (Guest star - Mia) and Neil Patrick Harris (Friend of Dexter - Lowell). Emmy nominee Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Nurse Jackie) is serving as showrunner and EP. Production started earlier this year with the series set to premiere this summer on Paramount+.

Macon Blair’s The Toxic Avenger remake, starring Peter Dinklage, has given a sneak peak at our "hero?” A reimagining of the 1984 cult classic, it follows a mutated janitor-turned-superhero. It was snapped up by Terrifiers’ Cineverse after other distributors claimed it was too violent. Cineverse is now planning an unrated theatrical release this year to try to capitalize on cult status and the morbidly curious.

The Charli xcx-led A24 film The Moment adds Big Little Lies’ Alexander Skarsgard, Blink Twice’s Trew Mullen, and Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction) to its cast. The mockumentary feature film is said to follow the life of a pop star and the inner workings of the music industry.

The upcoming Prison Break reboot series has added three series regulars in Lukas Gage (The White Lotus), Emily Browning (A Series of Unfortunate Events), and Drake Rodger (Landman). The Hulu series will be set in the same universe as the original show with all other details being kept under wraps.
