Netflix snaps up another YouTuber. Salish and Jordan Matter (34.1M followers) have just signed a deal with Netflix to make scripted, unscripted, and animated projects. Netflix’s previously YouTuber deals include Mark Rober (72.7M) and Ms Rachel (18.7M). The Matters bring a father, daughter element that may attract a different audience segment. They have a ton of fun energy (video).

Range Media Partners (A Complete Unknown) names Jacqueline Sacerio as their studio’s President of Scripted Television. Sacerio will lead all scripted TV development and production for Range and their producing partner A+E Studios (Netflix’s You).
Universal Music Group and CNN have chosen comedian-actor-musician Fred Armisen (SNL) to host a series exploring the world’s largest music archives. The show will have original recordings, music videos, rare photos, and live performances, set to premiere later this year.
