Disney's $10M Error.
A $10M administrative error. Disney is paying the FTC $10M because it didn’t mark some of its YouTube videos as children’s content. This caused the kids’ data to be collected by third parties. These videos featured celebrities reading children's books. It’s great that these companies are being held responsible, although this isn’t even a speeding ticket.
David Keighley technical maestro behind IMAX, has passed away at 77. Keighley has served as chief quality officer since 2011. Previously, he’d been the EVP (2007-2011) and the SVP (1997-2007). Denis Villeneuve and Christopher Nolan counted Keighley as a close collaborator and mourned his passing.
Paramount, a Skydance company, brings on media consultant Jeff Silberman as SVP of corporate strategy. He brings over a decade of experience in media and entertainment, working recently at the Boston Consulting Group.
