The Emmy nominations marked a number of milestones, both anchoring film legends and celebrating new voices in all categories. It was Netflix’s year once again, with a monstrous 107 nominations. FX beat out HBO with a shimmering 93 nominations thanks to Shōgun (25) and The Bear (23).

Although there were some major disappointments, shows like The Curse, A Gentleman in Moscow, and Expats were overlooked.

Interestingly both Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld got some love but for vastly different projects. Seinfeld’s Unfrosted scored a nomination for Outstanding TV Movie. David got a nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series (yes, he’s in the same category as Jeremy Allen White).
