Netflix’s widely popular mystery franchise, Enola Holmes (trailer), has officially begun production on its third installment. The films are headlined by Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown as the titular young detective and sister of Sherlock Holmes (played by Henry Cavill), with Helena Bonham Carter, who stars as the matriarch of the Holmes family, also signed on for the threequel. The Adolescence team is back with Jack Thorne writing the screenplay and Philip Barantini set to direct.
Former child star Sophie Nyweide has sadly passed away at just 24 years old. She appeared in the biblical Darren Aronofsky film Noah (2014), where she played the adoring child of Russell Crowe’s titular character and starred at just nine years old as the daughter of Michelle Williams in the dark romance movie Mammoth (2009), among a few other projects. Her last acting credit was over a decade ago. However, she was described as “seemingly happiest on a movie set.” Her passing is nothing short of a tragedy and a life loss far too soon.
Jaume Collet-Serra, who directed Netflix’s Carry On (star Jason Bateman), has lined up his next project, Play Dead, which will star Noah Jupe, was sensational in Honey Boy as a young Lukas Hedges, a fearful, powerful, child actor (e.g, the one with the pie in his face on the poster). No details yet, but shooting kicks off in May.
