Yul Vázquez is heading back to the 70s. The Severance actor has joined the Cuban American indie drama 1972. Set during New Year's Eve, the film follows Cuban exile Gloria, who is spending her last night of the year dealing with her defiant daughter and her overly charismatic friend (played by Vázquez), while the possibility of never returning to her homeland becomes impossible to ignore. Production just wrapped in Los Angeles.
Rainn Wilson (Dwight in The Office) will provide voiceover for Sky New Zealand’s rom-com Settling. The series follows two 30-somethings as they have a platonic marriage in order to fit societal and familial expectations. Wilson excelled at playing the overdramatic and comical alien villain Gallaxhar in Monsters vs. Aliens (2009), we hope to see the same snarky energy in this film.
