Spike Fearn (Alien: Romulus) has landed the lead in Apple’s newly greenlit drama Running, directed by Gavin O’Connor (Warrior). Fearn stars as a homeless teenage running phenom forced to rely on raw talent to escape his past.
Netflix’s Will Ferrell-led golf series adds Gabe Hogan (Lincoln Lawyer) and Aida Osman (Hulu’s Ramy) as recurring characters. The untitled 10-episode comedy follows Ferrell as a fictional golf legend and his son, Lance. Hogan will play a personal trainer, and Osman will play Lance’s childhood friend.
The Good Place’s William Jackson Harper is joining FX’s limited series Cry Wolf, a psychological thriller led by Oscar winners Olivia Colman and Brie Larson. Harper is set to play a CPS supervisor, with production expected to begin this month.
Emmy and Grammy winner Blair Underwood (In Treatment) and former Super Bowl champion Vernon Davis (The Ritual Killer) will star in psychological thriller The Listeners, directed by Joslyn Rose, about a jazz musician who loses his hearing and undergoes unconventional therapy as doctors debate mental versus neurological causes.
