Gotham TV Awards Nominees 2025

Adolescence. Netflix.

Netflix and Adolescence came out on top of the Second Annual Gotham Television Awards, the first awards event for the TV season.

Netflix grabbed 16 nominations, while Adolescence took 4. And this tracks as the show is getting a hercluean amount of momentum for its astonishing depiction of how digital life can radicalize youth and rip families apart.

We love that Dying for Sex nabbed two nominations. It’s our favorite piece of TV in some time. And Michelle Williams work is the best of her career.

The Outstanding Lead Performance in a Limited Series is a tight category with Williams up against Adolescence’s Stephen Graham and Cristin Milioti who is simply chilling in her manifestation of trauma in The Penguin and Brian Tyree Henry who has an uncanny ability to be deadly serious and comedic in Apple TV+’s Dope Thief.

One curious omission is Last of Us season 2.

Apple TV+ and Prime had the lowest number of nominations, with four each. While Hulu took a mammoth 15 (including 7 that are Hulu/FX).

During the awards ceremony three creators will receive Creator Tribute awards:

• Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk

• The Marvelous Miss Maisel and Gilmore Girl creator Amy Sherman-Palladino

• The Marvelous Miss Maisel and Gilmore Girl writer/EP, Daniel Palladino

The ceremony will take place in NYC on June 2nd.
