Robert Hull, the showrunner behind Netflix’s I Will Find You, is launching Story Math, his own production company. Hull and Netflix’s Harlan Coben adaptation, The Innocent, is expected to start filming this April.
South Africa has pulled Amazon MGM’s doc Melania from theaters. It will premiere in the US this weekend and carries a $35M P&A budget, after being acquired for an additional $40M.
Adult Swim promotes longtime exec Cameron Tang to SVP and head of development and current series, assuming duties vacated by Suzanna Makkos. Tang will oversee new development and the slate, including Rick and Morty and its spinoff, President Curtis.
Verve promotes lit agent Valarie Phillips and talent agent JR Ringer to partners. Joining Verve in 2024, Phillips has helped the careers of Scream 7 writer Guy Busick and High School Musical creator Kenny Ortega. Ringer represents actors like Josh Hartnett (Amazon’s Verity) and Sean Bean (Anemone).
Public relations vet Nancy Seltzer has died at 79. Some of her celebrity clientele included Garth Brooks and the late Sean Connery, and a young RDJ. She will be missed.
