Fireflies in the Garden’s Atomic features has closed a significant new round of equity financing. Founded by director/writer Daniel Ragussis (dir. Imperium) and Dennis Lee (dir. Jesus Henry Christ), the added investments will enable the company to expand its development slate by adding up to eight projects to its roster. They will also be launching a new production fund to finance their next three films:

• Black Tuesday; a real-time disaster thriller

• Breed; a horror movie

• The Oasis a dystopian thriller

Atomic’s development fund was first launched and announced in 2024, after an initial (and less successful) round of funding from a consortium of investors.

Ryan Bergara and Kevin Kreider will star in Jennifer Zhang’s sci-fi thriller Trüebadour, with Jamie Lee Curtis EPing. The film explores a tech startup’s collapse after introducing an AI storytelling device. NextShark Studios backs the project, which begins filming in April. Bergara makes his feature lead debut.
