Director bios:
Crystal Moselle is the director of The Wolfpack (2015) which won Sundance’s U.S. Documentary Grand Jury Prize. Her follow up film Skate Kitchen (2018) had a $2M budget, premiered at Sundance and was released by Magnolia Pictures.
She later adapted the film to an HBO series Betty which had a budget of $2M/episode. Her latest film The Black Sea premiered at SXSW and is being released by Metrograph.
Derrick B. Harden is the co-director and star of The Black Sea, having previously collaborated with Moselle acting in her HBO series Betty (2021).
