But what is spellbinding is watching Henry Golding fall to pieces, who has previously been burned into our minds as the buttoned-up, shining smile man with a soft spot in Crazy Rich Asians.
In this film, he is desperate, crippinlingly unsure of himself, and mad with a love that pushes the boundaries of reality.
