After a 25-year tenure at Paramount, David Bittler is leaving his position as EVP of Communications for Paramount Kids & Family. Following Liza Burnett Fefferman, Bittler is the second high-profile EVP to depart the company after the recent Skydance acquisition. He most recently oversaw communications and media relations for Nickelodeon.
Netflix’s TV department is switching up leadership. Jinny Howe has been named Head of UCAN (U.S.-Canada) Scripted Series. She will be taking over for the longtime Netflix exec, Peter Friedlander, who recently announced his exit.
The Penguin showrunner Lauren LeFranc’s new production company, Acid and Tender Productions, has brought on Rachel Jacobs (prod: A Thousand and One) to serve as Head of TV and Film. She most recently worked as a producer at Steven Zaillian’s Film Rites (The Irishman).
Former Kapital Entertainment VP Jessie Abbott is joining A+E Studios (Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer) as VP of Creative Affairs. Abbott joined last month after nearly a decade at Kapital (CBS’ Watson).
