Rashida Jones' Playdate

Triple threat filmmaker Rashida Jones is teaming up with producer Gloria Sanchez (Theater Camp, Will & Harper) to direct Playdate, an original story from Danish screenwriter Marie Østerbye (Deliver Us), which first appeared on the Black List.

Official Logline:

A play date erupts into full scale psychological warfare as two mothers confront the damage of childhood bullying, while their daughters engage in mind games of their own.

Jones previously co-directed the Emmy-nominated documentary Quincy (2018) about her father, the beloved record producer Quincy Jones.

Most recently, the Parks and Recreation actress was tapped to pen the script for the upcoming Warner Bros. Tom and Jerry production with Will Ferrell.

No start date for production has been set for Playdate as of late.
