A modernized Sleepless in Seattle. From Tell Me Lies producer Laura Lewis, romance novel First Time Caller is getting adapted into a feature film. The first book in B.K. Borison’s “Heartstrings” trilogy, it follows a love torn radio host who falls for a mysterious on-air guest. This is the second book adaptation to come from newly launched production company A Cup of Happy Productions (Georgie, All Along).
Amazon MGM Studios and showrunner Drew Lindo (Quantum Leap) are developing a TV adaptation of dark comedy novel The Accidental Assassin. From author Nicole Chase the novel follows a woman whose life becomes worlds messier after a chance meeting with a professional assassin. Supergirl actress Azie Tesfai is attached as a producer.
Fish Without a Bicycle (2004) writer Jenna Mattison will pen the feature adaptation of A Caller’s Game, the bestselling Die Hard-esque thriller novel from J.D. Barker. Mattison is currently working on another Barker adaptation, a TV series titled The Gimble Files.
