Spidey’s Fourth Swing
Spidey’s back for his fourth swing. Marvel just dropped the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day – a fourth installment for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Set four years after Peter Parker erases his existence from the MCU, the film will follow Spider-Man as he faces both new and old enemies – this time with no one to lean on.
You can see the difference in the tone of the film right away, with Peter Parker more lonely and vulnerable than ever. The trailer also teases Peter Parker making spider webs without his webshooters, perhaps hinting at Spider-Man’s ability to make organic webbing – a possible callback to Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies.
It is also interesting to see MCU reveal the Punisher (Played by John Bernthal) so early on in their campaign, hinting at a bigger reveal related to Sadie Sink’s character, who has mind-controlling abilities (X-Men fans are getting excited).
One improvement is the increased web-slinging sequences in the film. While Marvel’s Spider-Man movies had a boyish charm to them, the web-swinging scenes were unsatisfactory compared to the Amazing Spider-Man films, where they showed the height of how dynamic web-slinging could be. This trailer focuses on showcasing Spider-Man swinging from tall buildings from his perspective, so it looks like Marvel finally heard what the fans were saying.

Looking forward to it 🕸️ The trailer teased enough without giving too much away
