Cherry Jones (Signs), Corey Stoll (Ant-Man), and Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) join the cast of Netflix’s TV adaptation of the novel The Secret of Secrets. The series follows symbologist Robert Langdon (Morgan Spector) as he races against ancient forces in order to rescue a missing scientist and her manuscript.
Richard Madden (Netflix’s Bodyguard) will star in Paramount+’s new medical hostage thriller Trauma. The series will follow a Royal Marine turned doctor, Jim Marchant (Madden), as he must fight the terrorists who have seized a busy London Hospital and taken the PM hostage.
The Rachel Sennott-created HBO comedy I Love LA adds Taron Egerton (Rocketman) in a guest role for its upcoming second season. While details about his character remain under wraps, it’s likely to be a far lighter turn than his acclaimed performance as convicted drug dealer Jimmy Keene in Apple TV+’s miniseries Black Bird. Production is currently underway.
Silo star Avi Nash is joining FX drama series Disinherited as a series regular. Nash may be able to use some of the investigative instincts from his fan-favorite role as Lukas in Apple’s Silo for the new series, which follows two estranged sisters whose lives are transformed by an unexpected inheritance.
