Shōgun's Cosmo Jarvis joins Nolan’s The Odyssey. In Shōgun he plays John Blackthorne, also known as Anjin, an English ex-pat who almost acts as an audience surrogate into the samurai culture of Japan's Sengoku period. Anjin is a stubborn, ambitious warrior, always willing to fight, and that should fit nicely in Nolan's world, though we don't yet know Jarvis’ or most roles in general.
However, going down the list it's pretty apparent Christopher Nolan has assembled quite a cast:
Matt Damon
Tom Holland
Zendaya
Anne Hathaway
Lupita Nyong’o
Robert Pattinson
Benny Safdie
Charlize Theron
Jon Bernthal
Himesh Patel
Elliott Page
Bill Irwin
Samantha Morton
Jesse Garcia
Will Yun Lee
Corey Hawkins
Currently in production aiming for release on IMAX July 17, 2026.
Rolling Loud, Owen Wilson's hip hop comedy adds some big names in the rap & hip hop scene:
Sexy Red
Ty Dolla $sign
Ski Mask the Slump God
Henry Winkler
Logline: A father makes a bad parenting choice by taking his young son to a wild hip-hop festival, leading to chaos as they navigate crowds, security, and family dynamics with eccentric companions.
It's starting to look like Rolling Loud is establishing the credit it needs to pull off such a premise.
Filming is underway in Atlanta for a 2026 release.
New Casting for Bear Country: Russell Crowe leads the film as a club owner targeted by a robbery and entangled with cartel bosses. New casting announces some heavy hitters:
Aaron Paul – a community college teacher caught in a dirty cop’s robbery scheme.
Luke Evans –an undercover federal agent pretending to be a potential buyer to infiltrate the cartel.
Daniel Zovatto – the cartel’s top man in Los Angeles.
With the casting of Paul as community college professor, it's starting to feel a bit like an alternate universe Breaking Bad.
Currently in preproduction.
