The upcoming Toronto Film Festival has announced its Discovery program lineup consisting of 24 new projects from rising filmmakers.

Discovery’s Opening Film:
Stuffed

Synopsis:
A taxidermist named Araminta seeks to preserve a human specimen when Bernie volunteers himself. Their unusual arrangement evolves into an unexpected love story.
Purgatory
Dir: Lindsay Lanzillotta (prod. The Invitation)
Cast: J.K. Simmons, Abby Elliot (The Bear)

Synopsis:
A 13-year-old girl in 1980s Ontario tries to hold her family together after her mother leaves home to self-actualize.
Drifter

Synopsis:
A lonely custodian discovers purpose and community when he enters the world of competitive drag racing.
