Tribeca & The Industry: How Bold Films Get Made
The Industry is excited to announce that we’re hosting a panel at Tribeca with MUBI and Bleecker Street:
Taste Is the Strategy: How Bold Films Get Chosen, Shaped, and Made
The panel will center on how, in a crowded marketplace, taste isn't subjective; it's a strategy. This conversation explores how leading film companies define their creative identity and translate it into the projects they develop and champion.
Our panelists are:
Tyler DiNapoli, the president of Bleecker Street, whose films include Hard Truths (2024), Sasquatch Sunset (2023), Logan Lucky (2017), Paterson (2016), Captain Fantastic (2016), and Netflix’s first original film Beasts of No Nation (2015).
Lilly Riber, CMO of MUBI, whose films include The Substance (2024), Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love (2025), Jim Jarmusch's Father Mother Sister Brother (2025), Paweł Pawlikowski's Fatherland (2026), and Jane Schoenbrun's Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma (2026).
Panelists will discuss what they look for in material and filmmakers, how they nurture projects from early development through production, and how a clear point of view can shape both the film itself and its path to audiences.
The event will include a Q&A.
