Woody Harrelson is producing a documentary on one of Austin’s legendary music venues, Armadillo World Headquarters. The feature doc will follow the rise of the venue that welcomed some of America’s most iconic musicians like Willie Nelson and Jerry Garcia.
Heather Phillips, who’d been working on a freelance basis for Black Bear (prod co: Train Dreams, Sing Sing), now takes a full-time role as the Head of Publicity. Bianca Parkes will join the company as head of marketing.
From Charlie’s Angels to Gilmore Girls, cinematographer Richard M. Rawlings Jr. has died at 82. A third-generation cinematographer, Rawlings got his start as a messenger at Warner Bros, years later scoring his first Emmy nomination for the CBS Western series Paradise (1988-91), going on to work another three decades in television.
