I sat down with Michael Scott, who produced the God’s Not Dead films and recently co-EP'd Netflix's A Line of Fire (2025 starring Cuba Gooding Jr.).
His films have generated over $200M at the box office.
He is also the co-founder and CEO of Pure Flix, which he launched 20 years ago and built into the largest faith-based streaming platform. It was acquired by Sony in 2020.
He just launched EKKL Entertainment, a family/faith-based platform that plans to release 7-8 films/year. The company also has a robust 350-film catalog.
We had a fascinating dive into his platform and how faith-based horror could be the next category to deliver smash hits at the box office.
Michael loves movies, cinema, and redemptive stories, and he's putting all of that into his new platform service, which also offers family films, such as She Dances, starring Steve Zahn and Ethan Hawke.
