I sat down with Jon Watts (director of the Tom Holland Spider-Man films), who EPs Amazon’s new Murder 101 docuseries, which just premiered at Sundance.
I also spoke with the series director, Stacey Lee, who shared that the series is a mix of Dead Poets Society, Friday Night Lives and Mindhunter.
Synopsis:
A decades-old unsolved Tennessee case stumps top detectives until a high school sociology class breaks it wide open.
Murder 101 is rare true crime series that is told in real-time.
And it’s wild watching these high school students come together and use the class as an accelerant in their own development.
